# ClearCommerce > ClearCommerce is a UK-focused, multi-tenant ecommerce accounting bridge that connects ecommerce sales channels to Xero. It turns orders, refunds, VAT, shipping, discounts, fees and payment methods into clean Xero records using controlled export profiles, mappings, previews, audit history and duplicate-safe background processing. ClearCommerce is designed for ecommerce businesses, accountants and bookkeepers that need cleaner Xero data without creating one unnecessary Xero invoice for every low-value retail order. The core product principle is to keep ecommerce source data separate from accounting treatment: - Source data includes store orders, refunds, payments, taxes, shipping, discounts and marketplace transactions. - Accounting treatment includes export profiles, Xero settings, account mappings, tax mappings, payment-method mappings and posting rules. - Each company, store and Xero connection is isolated within a multi-tenant SaaS workspace. - Xero is connected using OAuth 2.0. Orders are normally grouped by paid date. - Sales, VAT, shipping, discounts, refunds and payment methods are rolled up into controlled Xero-ready totals. - Zero-total orders are skipped by default. - Payment methods can be mapped to separate clearing accounts. - Original source orders and refund records remain available in ClearCommerce for audit and troubleshooting. - Exact totals, stored source references and idempotent jobs are used to reduce rounding and duplicate-posting risk. ### Individual invoice mode Individual invoice mode is intended for trade, wholesale, B2B and account customers. - One Xero invoice can be created per ecommerce order. - Xero contacts can be matched or created from billing company, name and email. - Invoice status, invoice number strategy, due date and paid or unpaid treatment are controlled by the export profile. -
